About The Learning Lab

This program offers a unique professional development opportunity to learn how to integrate anti-oppressive and equitable practices into daily work. Held on the last Wednesday of each month, it is open to all staff at Mount Sinai, regardless of job role.

What to expect

A Learning Lab is a participatory professional development learning opportunity with two components:

One-hour monthly session: Staff will be introduced to key concepts and a ‘real world’ application of the anti-oppressive/equitable practice. They will then develop an action plan for integrating the practice into their everyday work functions and determine how they will hold themselves accountable.

Accountability check-in: Periodically, participating staff will receive an online prompt to reflect on the practice(s) they learned, share wins and challenges, and offer suggestions on how to make the practice(s) stick.

Schedule

Learning Labs are scheduled to take place from 12-1PM on the last Wednesday of every month. See the calendar of events for details.
