Faculty & Staff Development
Equipping faculty and staff to use anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices
About faculty and staff development programs
These programs focus on equipping Mount Sinai educators and staff with the skills and knowledge needed to actively confront and address racism and bias and employ equitable and anti-oppressive practices within their professional roles. The programs use various instructional methods such as interactive workshops, action planning, skill building opportunities, one-on-one coaching, and peer accountability and support.
Curriculum Clinic
For Mount Sinai Faculty
The Curriculum Clinic uses a scaffolded learning design to develop the capacity of course and clerkship directors and clinical faculty to create inclusive learning environments and course content grounded in anti-racist pedagogy.
The Learning Lab
For Mount Sinai Staff
This program offers a unique professional development opportunity to learn how to integrate anti-oppressive and equitable practices into daily work. Held on the last Wednesday of each month, it is open to all staff at Mount Sinai, regardless of job role.
